We found him frozen, laying on top of the snow. Brought him in. He thawed and delighted us with his wiggly ways. Then I looked him up on the internet and it was all "if you find these caterpillars outside in the winter, don't bring them inside - they are fine outside!". We put him back.

I would have brought him in too. Winter brought home an inch worm in a glass jar from her dad's house a few months ago, and it died and shrivelled up and turned brown overnight. She thought it had escaped, and I let her believe it. Now she thinks "mossy" lives in our apartment...somewhere...
